SUMMARY: ttsession hogging resources

Hello Managers,

I'd like to thank Octave Orgeron for explaining to me and pointing me to
the right direction for these mysterious ttsessions. I'm still working
on a problem that is causing our CDE window to lock up, and I think that
the ttsessions have something to do with it. Octave's reply is below,
and so is my original post.

Hi Kevin,

Ttsession, is started up every time a user logs into
CDE. It handles all of the communication calls between
all ofthe CDE applications. Normally there would only
be one running per user. If you are interested in
seeing what it's doing, use tttrace which will show
you what calls are being made. As for what to do about
it.. not much.. it's part of CDE. If there are hung
ttsessions, you can kill them or restart the Xsession.
