Hi Tru64 sysadmins:

Question: Normal Socket shutdown/close system call causes "invalid
argument" to be returned on Tru64 5.0.

I have had a response from one other Tru64 user (see below) (in addition to
us and a customer of ours) who have encountered this behavior.

Thanks to Tobias Ernst for responding to my post on this bug. I am glad
someone else has encountered it. I would have replied to him directly,
however his email address comes back as "undeliverable".

We (and another customer of ours who uses Tru64 V 5.0) have written to
Compaq about this, but I have not heard back from them as yet.

Alles gut,

Jim
