Greetings,
I have a 164LX based box with an Elsa Synergy video
card (a.k.a. 4d10t). I installed the Open3d subsets
and to my amazement, the opengl implemenation for this
video card is software-only! I also found that I can
compile the example programs and even apps from the
net, however none of them will work.. they cause the X
server to halt!! I then went digging about and found
that you need a license for the Open3d subsets to
work, otherwise.. you get the above Xserver hang. I
know that Open3d will go away soon.. my questions are:
1. If I need a license, how much does it cost?
2. Does Mesa work? I tried to compile version 3.2 with
cc and gcc, no luck. If it does work what version
and what compiler options are needed?
Thanks in advance for any help in this area!
