What can be done to check alpha hardware?

On one of the TruUnix64 machines we use we often observe strange
application crashes (we even got blue screen some day). While diagnosing
the problem, we consider also some hardware error (like RAM or disk
error) - on the second similar machine, using the same applications, we
observe no problems.

The question: what can be done to commit/reject hardware fault
possibility - how can I diagnose RAM and disks, what else can I do (for
instance to check for some hardware conflicts)...

Thanks in advance for any hints.
