I need to replace the rz1cc-ba hard disk in an alphastation 500 au. I'm
not sure if the controller is ultra or ultra-2, but it definitely
supports ultra-wide disks such as the quantum viking II 9.1 Gb. I am
planning to install a seagate ST318416N, ultra-wide 68-pin 7200 rpm 18.2
Gb disk. Can anyone tell me if they have had problems with this model,
with seagate drives in general, or if they just think this is a
fundamentally bad idea. Thanks.
