I was wondering if anyone had setup a highly available NIS svc in a C2
environment and how they did it. I read the
/var/ase/examples_supported/* files and it seems simple enough - a
disk svc with one cluster member as the master and the other as a
slave(If you only have 2 cluster members). I guess the only thing I
would need would be a wrapper around the dxaccounts gui because that
is host name based and my NIS master would actually become a svc name.
The other thing that bothers me is that if I do this now, how much
work do I have to do when I go to V5.0A? No doubt, there must be
differences but am I better off not doing this now at all. Any
suggestions, comments will be highly appreciated!!!
