Load Average returns significantly higher than it should.

Hi all,
    I have 2 ES40s configured with Tru64 4.0F and TruCluster 1.6 ASE.
My problem is that one of the ES40s after a while will return load
averages of greater than 4.00 when the only processes running are the
base operating system and dxproctuner/top shows no processes of note.

These 2 ES40 systems run our PeopleSoft Applications using Oracle 8.1.6
as a database.

Any suggestions on what may be causing this behaviour or how to correct
it would be appreciated.
