Hi -
I've got the following set of errors in /var/adm/messages:
vm_swap_init: vm_swapon for /dev/vol/rootdg/swapvol device failed
vmunix: vm_swap_init: swap is set to lazy (over commitment) mode
vmunix: LSM: Can't open device rz16a, device busy or inaccessible.
I guess there's a problem with the /dev/vol/rootdg/swapvol device.
In /sbin there is
swapdefault_at_ -> /dev/vol/rootdg/swapvol
swapdefault.encap_at_ -> ../dev/rz16b
to configure swap to immediate mode but I guess if there's a problem with
this device the system will set swap to deferred (lazy) which is the second
message above. I don't know if the third message is because of message 1 or
vice-versa.
How do I fix this? It's been fine until I applied PK4 (or more precisely
attempted to apply PK4, deleted all patches, reapplied PK4). This is a
DS20E running 4.0F, PK4, 5.8-8 firmware.
Thank you all very much!
