Hi,

I got many replies from people about max disk storage on a GS140. Thanks.
I got responses indicating people are running up to 44TB on their GS140
system/cluster.

A response from alan at Compaq suggested a GS140 could at least have 200TB
connected with the limitation being more with physical space rather than with
what the system can actually manage.

However, according to the following doc on page 18, it indicates 85TB may be
the max to put on a GS140.

http://www.compaq.com/alphaserver/download/gs60e_gs140_tech_sum.pdf

We were looking to add another TB so I think the statement 85TB is good enough
for us.

thanks,
Allan

Subject: max disk storage for gs140

Hi,

I checked through the specs on the compaq's quickspecs page.
It says a max of *internal* storage is 1784 GB.

I'm trying to find where it says the actual max disk storage I can put on a
GS140.
Does anyone know that and where I can find a pointer to the the answer or is
1784 GB
the max disk storage I can put on the system? The word *internal* is throwing me
off a bit.

thanks,
Allan
