Hello...
I've run into a problem. I'm running a 5.0a server that has
NIS running on it (its the NIS master), with shadow enhanced security.
The 5.0a clients are running as NIS clients (duh).
I am also NFS mounting filesystems off of the same server that is running
the NIS server.
The problem starts when I log into a CDE session on the client as a user
who's home directory is NOT mounted as 'root access'. I log in, and in a
terminal window, I am automatically placed into the
/usr/dt/appconfig/types/C directory, NOT my home directory. I can then
'cd' to my home directory, but can't view it, when its perms are 700.
I can view it, though, if its perms are 755.
Mounting the fs with 'root' access fixes this problem. That's not what
I want to do, so I'm looking for a fix.
Also note that this was happening BEFORE I went to enhanced security on
both the client and server.
Has anybody seen this or fixed it?
Thanks in advance...
