Qpopper 3.0.2 on Tru64 4.0e + patchkit 4

Hey all,

I've got a quick question... I'm trying to install qpopper 3.0.2 on my DEC
3000 M900 running Tru64 4.0e + patchkit 4 + enhanced security. I
configured it with the options:

--enable-specialauth

and

--enable-auto-delete

It seems to compile clean, but when I put it in place and try to use it i
continue to get authentication errors. It won't validate
authentication. I recompiled it using just the "--enable-specialauth" and
then with no options, without success. I did notice that it manages to
throw some weird error messages into my test user's INBOX
"/var/spool/mail/user"... This, in effect, corrupts the INBOX and prevents
it from working properly (bad header info). I've been running qpopper
2.53 on this system for about 2 years now without a problem. I was able
to restore this old file and it works fine.

Anybody have an experience like this? Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated...

Thanks in advance,

P.S. I've also got gcc 2.95.2 installed, qpopper is using this to
compile...
