How does firmware affect of Tru64's generic kernel's view of system devices?
Or does it affect at all? The problem I'm concerned originates from
unsuccessfull 4.0F-OS-update. I updated firmware of a GS140 to 5.7 then
tried updating OS from 4.0E to 4.0F. When booting from generic kernel, the
lsm reported that it didn't find any root- or usr-volumes which was
understandable, because root and usr, which had been under scsi0 were now
found under scsi3. Would firmware update to 5.8 do any good?
