A little more info.:
None of them(DBAs) are saying anything.
As far as they are concern it was hardware and software.
I am to low on the totem pole to say any thing!!!

Subject: Network setting will not save
Dear Managers,
OS: 4.0F
Firmware 5.6
Problem: a couple of DBA was messing around with my Unix box. I have two
problems:
1. I am booting with network. I no longer can log into the CDE. The
screen would hang until I have to hit the reset button. But I can log into
the machine by "command line login."
2. I no longer can use "netsetup" to configure the NIC card. It goes
thru the setup and I enter the IP address and the host name. When I use the
command "netstat -rn," I do not see anything but the local host. When I use
"netstat -i," the NIC card Ipkts and Opkts indicate 0.
But when I use the command "ifconfig" I am successful in
assigning an IP address to the NIC card. "netstat -rn" see the new IP
address along with the local address. "netstat -i"
Indicate there is activity in Ipkts.
But when I reboot, all the settings that I made disappear.
Any suggestions?
TIA
