Admins,

A strange problem has arisen on a 4100 system here at work. When I
came in this morning, the system was powered off. The bottom half (this is
a pedestal configuration) was on, i.e. the drives, but the cabinet section
was off. When I pushed the power button it went to the off position; then I
pushed it in and it came on booting fine (well... there was some file
salvaging going on). I checked the logs and found only that the system
booted at 1:30 AM today( this is unusual). I found no references to any
errors in the sysdated logs. I also checked /var/adm/message and found
nothing. Lastly I checked dia -R and confirmed the boot around 0100 with
nothing else of merit. I chalked it up to gremlins... Bad idea...it just
was reported down at 1400 with the same problem. I now have monitors set up
for the power, temp, fans...and I moved the power for the upper part to a
different power strip. Has anyone seen this before?????....The only time I
have seen anything like it was on a overtemp condition...
