FTP script - wildcards

I know it's possible to create a script for ftp file transfer of single files
but is it possible to create a script to do multiple (unattended) file
transfers (with wildcards) ? When I do a manual transfer using wildcards, it
will work but only if I answer 'y' to each filename prompt.
