sendmail 5.65v4.0 on DU 4.0D

Dear managers,
 
I am using DU 4.0D with sendmail 5.65v4.0 installed. What is the easiest way
to make sendmail more secure?
Is there a patchkit available and can I use my old sendmail.cf?
