Hello managers
I have a Canon GP300-405 photocopier which has a unix print queue created
on DU 4.0E
amaccopier1:\
:rm=<hostname of printer>:\
:rp=print:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/amaccopier1:\
:mx#0:
The reason why the remote printer is print is because that is the internal
name of the queue of the actual printer.
I have tried using text & raw in the rp options but for the reason
mentioned above no printout will come out.
This queue prints text documents pefectly well. However another
requirement is to print postscript files from the dec
workstations. Unfortunately it prints out the postscript commands rather
than the diagram/text.
Is there any way to get it to accept postscript? Looking at the
specification it states that postscript(level 2 & 3) is supported.
Or is it more likely that you need drivers for which only windows/apple
are provided, in order to get it to work.
I will summarize.
Thanks
Stevan
