dxaccounts not pushing nis map?

Hello...

  I'm using 5.0a/patch kit#1, nis, enhanced shadow passwords.

  When I either create or modify nis accounts using dxaccounts and then exit out,
the nis 'passwd' and 'prpasswd' files get properly modified, but they never
push out the changes. Most of the time, I have to do a
        
        'cd /var/yp'
        'touch src/passwd'
        make

  That properly gets things working, but shouldn't dxaccounts do this for me when
I exit out?
