Admins,
Tru64-Unix-Managers List Rules!!!!! I got several response within minutes
and a solution has been obtained.
Original Question:
I have a user that is sending mail via mailx. The body of the message
clearly states not to send responses to the email but to the users exchange
address. Well the users of course are not heeding this and are replying to
this account. The mail admin here wants me to change it so that when
someone reply to it, it goes somewhere else. The catch is that I can only
change it for this single instance. By the way the users is using this
mailx in a script, its an automated response. I'm currently looking through
the mailx man pages trying to find a way to change either the From field or
Reply to:
Answer:
use mailx -r username_at_xyz.com recipientname_at_abc.com
where username_at_xyz.com is the Reply to: and From: field in the header.
and Recpientrname_at_abc.com is the person you are sending to..
It works...thanks go out to

Also:
I received the following while working on the problem
From: Ron Parker, Network Administrator, Brazosport College
I think you can do this by including the Reply-to: header as part of your
message body.
Many suggest this also: Wouldn't this effect all traffic from the user? I
only want to make this a special event.
From: Ecce Potestas Casei
Can you not put a .forward file in his home directory?
Or, perhaps, set up an alias in /etc/aliases.
I'm only familiar with sendmail mail server on tru64, but either of those
would work for that installation
Apologies if I've been no help.
There has been three more since I have started typing this...
Thanks again for the quick and accurate Reponses...
