[TRU64] PERFORMANCE - MALLOC VS MALLOPT

Hi managers,


We have an application that is using malloc function.
In HP we changed this function to mallopt and got an performance improvement
of 30%.
The point is that with HP we can allocate a big portion of memory using
mallopt, but we cannot do the same with malloc.

In DEC we don't have this mallopt function anymore and as far as I now, in
malloc function we cannot define the memory chunk.

Does anybody now how to do it in DEC?
