I got so many replies to this that I didn't have time to answer
them all personally. Thanks to all you responded.

Here are the answers:

You only have to know, which partition(s) the filedomain is on.
Let's say it is on /dev/rz3c and /dev/rz4c. Then do the following:

  mkdir /etc/fdmns/tmp_domain
  ln -s /dev/rz3c /etc/fdmns/tmp_domain
  ln -s /dev/rz4c /etc/fdmns/tmp_domain

Then try a
  showfsets tmp_domain
This should show the names of all filesets in this domain.
You can then mount them with
  mount tmp_domain#fileset_name /mnt

Note, that the name of the file domain is nothing more than the name
of the subdir of /etc/fdmns in which the links to the device files
live. Thus you can rename the file domain any time by renaming the
subdir. Renaming filesets is harder (well, not really, there is
renamefset(8), but the fileset has to be unmounted).

And from:

Michael.Whittaker_at_edt.ericsson.se "Michael Whittaker (QDT)"

use advcan -r to recreate missing domain.
