Hi!
As usual, thanks to all who replied.
The original problem was a newly upgraded HSZ70->HSG80 which I couldn't
communicate with in a SAN.
The solution was that 4.0F can only communicate with 8 devices and in the
FibreChannel case this involves the KGPSAs on the other machines. Hence
with three controllers and six machines I had one too many and since I had
upgraded the controller last, it was stuck at place number nine in the
database (/etc/emx.info is the humanreadable form, see man emx(4) for more
information). I cleared the database and turned on of the machines off to
make sure that the machine that I needed to speak with the last controller
got contact with it. Included in TruCluster (according to Compaq's
website) is a program called 'emxmgr' which allows you to manipulate and
display the database. My local Compaq contact is currently investigating
why this isn't available outside of the TruCluster software.
