More desktops for CDE login manager?

Is there a way to have more choices in the CDE login screen
for different desktops?

Dtlogin has two choices at present: failsafe session and desktop
session. This is not quite enough, but it would be nice to
have more choices for different desktops, such as GNOME and KDE2.
It is not so nice to switch the CDE over to xdm mode to run
other startup scripts than its own Xsession and modifying
the Xsession for different desktops isn't so attractive either.

I can't find any information in the CDE documentation, if there
are some X-resources etc. to set for more than just two choices
for desktops in the dtlogin. Are there such at all or is it
just simplest(?) to get some other login manager and install it?
