Hello,

Thanks to Jeffrey Mogul and to Thomas P. Blinn for Compaq for pointing out
a tool called 'DCPI'.Information can be found at web site:

http://www.tru64unix.compaq.com/dcpi/
Not yet had time to play with it!
Thanks also to Ian Mortimer who kindly supplies a fortran program to measure CPU
performances with various lengths of vectors. It seems a good measure
of cache memory efficacity.

  Original enquiry:
I wonder if there is a tool allowing to measure the efficiency of
the cache memory at execution of a given program (hit rate...) .
I mean the caches (L1 and L2) inside the processors, not the buffer cache.
The cpus are of type EV67 and the OS is Tru64 V4.0F.
