System: AlphaStation 255/233, Firmware 7.0, PALCode: 1.46
RAM: 128 MB
OS: Tru64Unix 4.0F PK 3
I want to upgrade the existimg system with an additional network/interface
(DE-500BA) and an Intraserver U2W-SCSI Controller (ITI-6101U2-UK).
I plugged the SCSI COntrooler into the second (middle) and the network-card into
third PCI-Slot (bottom-Slot). After switching on, >>show dev shows all
devices, pka0 (onboard SCSI), pkb0 (ITI), ewa0 (onboard network), and ewb0
(DE-500BA) and some harddisks/cdrom.
I booted the system with >>boot dka0 -fi genvmunix. The system boots but
suddenly it crashes(see part of /var/adm/messages at the end of this mail).
I changed the location of network and SCSI-Card, result
system-crash during boot.
I removed the DE-500BA and boot the system again, the system comes up
without any problems. After shutdown I removed the ITI and plugged in the
network card. With that config the system boots without any problems.
I need both additional controllers (ITI and DE-500BA) in this Systems.
Is there any way to use them both?
