V5.0A Tape devices

Has anybody seen this behaviour before where the SCSI Bus Targ and Lun
numbers are being mapped correctly to everything apart from tape drives ? Is
this normal for V5.0A ? I would expect the results from the "file" command
on the device file to reflect completely both the scu and hwmgr commands.
