Thanks to everyone that replied. I received several responses with
basically the same information. After reading the first response, I
suddenly had a full mental recovery of the information but here it is in
summary form:
Version 2 of NFS has a 2GB file size limitation. NFS v3 allows access to
files greater that 2GB. This version runs on Tru64 Unix but I will need to
find out if VMS is capable of running Version 3.
Thanks to all.

Subject: NFS file size limit
I have nfs mounted a VMS file system on a Tru64 4.0g DS10. This file system
contains an Oracle Database export which we are trying to import into a
database on the Unix system. Every time we start the import script, the
procedure seems to hang and the system begins to send
NFS server xxxx not responding, still trying
My question is this: Is there a limitation on the size of the file that is
being manipulated? This export file is 15GB.
Thank you,
