Linux installation on Alpha machines

Hi gurus,

I tried to install a Linux on an ALphaStation 255 machine. For that, I
burned a CD on my PC from the Mandrake 7.1 alpha distribution. (I have
no CD burner on any Alpha machine).

But no CD reader from any of my DEC (Compaq) machines are able to read
this CD: it spins a long time and then stops with a I/O error message
(this on several CD).

Have you any idea of the problem? and any solution!

Thanks in advance
