Hi,

I'm using a Logitech Cordless Keyboard/Mouse called ITouch on a Tru64 5.0A
system (a PC164LX machine). Everything works flawlessly except for one
glitch: When I start the X server with the cordless mouse connected, the
middle mouse button does not work and I can't use it to paste text in the
text window. Using "xev" I see that just no mouse events arrive for the
middle mouse button.

However, when I connect the old mouse (a logitech as well), start the X
server and then swap the mice (disconnect the old and connect the new
cordless one) while the X server is running, the middle mouse button works
as expected.

Apparently the X server somehow tries to detect the mouse type or
something like that.

Any idea anyone how to avoid that? Any X server configuration switches
dealing with mice and the number of buttons they have?

Thanks // Tom
