system configuration

Hi,

An application we run in our lab requires certain system parameters to be
increased. In the "old days" before I learned about sysconfig and
sysconfigdb, we would "hardwire" these parameters into the configuration
file and generate a new system with the doconfig command. In that method,
we would set a parameter called taskmax, and all was well. It looks like
the corresponding parameter under the "sysconfig method" is task-max.
Under V4.0F (on a DS-20), "sysconfig -q proc task-max" returns the current
value. However, under V5.0A (on an XP1000), this same command returns an
error -- unknown attribute. Can I assume that under 5.0A task-max is no
longer valid or needed? Is there some other parameter that I should set
that would effectively accomplish the same thing -- perhaps in an indirect
way?

Thanks as always. Will summarize...
