Stuck!
Am upgrading an old 3800 from 4.0d to 4.0g and root partition is too
small. All tidy up efforts in vain. Nothing left but to increase root
partition.
UNIX system (option 3) booted from 4.0g cd. Editor set and exported. Ed
used to increase size of a partition from 131072 to 393216 blocks pinching
the space from partition b which is unused. PArtition g then follows on
from this boundary.
However, error message says " Partition a is in use, cannot alter size or
position. Re-edit label?"
I thought this was what you used the stand-alone UNIX option for so that
it used the memory systems and allowed you to alter the partition table on
the root disk.
What have I missed please?
