Machine : 4100 AlphaServer w/4 566MHz cpu's
OS : Tru64 4.0F
Application : Squid Proxy Server
Problem : using the dbmmanage created database file

Squid works on our machine with ncsa_auth as the
authenticator program for the flat-file created
by htpasswd.out (the exe of the htpasswd.c program).

Since we may have ~5000 users utilizing squid's service
the decision was to have dbmmanage create the password
file. However EVERYWHERE I have looked (Squid FAQ, squid
docs, man dbmmanage, emailing squid-users, emailing squid
guru's) have proven f r u i t l e s s ! I am beginning to
think it is a conspiracy...

Then I realized TRU64!!! of course they will know the way...
otherwise...
I just got this from a squid guru:

As far as I know, no such program exists. You would have
to write it yourself. I'm not familiar with 'dbmmanage'

Being totally unfamiliar with database programming... has
anyone solved/written this yet?? :)
