First of all THANKS to:
- Dr. Tom Blinn, always Tom (tpb_at_doctor.zk3.dec.com)
- Colin Walters (colin.walters_at_compaq.com)who devoted time
to my problem
- Denise Dumas (dumas_at_zk3.dec.com)
- Mandell Degerness (mandell.degerness_at_gems2.gov.bc.ca)
Some managers on the list, suggest me authck that showed
several "things" like users that can not be retrieved with
getprpwent and so..... consequences of earlier hand editing
on /tcb/files/auth. But these dont seemed to me related to
resources.
At X Window System Considerations in the Tuning Manual
(Appendix A) there is a reference about the space allocated
to Xserver. "It can be reused but is not freed". I reset the
Xserver and eliminated the unused memory adding the
"-terminate" option in /var/X11/Xserver.conf , and kill the
Xserver that was automatically restarted by Xdm and .....
dxaccounts now run without problems. Finally
Thanks a lot to all
