seem a few have seen the reported behavior on DU before.

a suggestion of nohup before the shutdown was a possible fix.

If it happens again, I worry more - for now, I
figure its just a unix thing...

thanks to all on the list.

orig post:
hi all,

We have a weekly reboot of an ES-40 running DU4.0F. This
reboot is executed from a cron:

20 8 * * 0 /sbin/shutdown -f -r now

This has work for the past 14 months.
This sunday it failed, but the /etc/nologin file was written, but no
shutdown was performed.
Nothing was change ( really!).

Has anyone seen this with shutdown before?
