Tru64 and SCSI

Can anyone tell me which chips are supported by Tru64 UNIX 4.0g or above
an a Digital Alpha Server DS10. My (test-)system is IDE based and i want
to connect a DLT tapedrive to test the backups from production system. I
bought a Adaptec 29160 LVD adapter and it seems not to work.
