Hi!
When connecting from an ES40 5.0a to an DS20 4.0F via rsh,
you get the following output (both ways):
me_at_ES40:[~]% rsh -d DS20 df
socket: protocol failure in circuit setup.
Between these two machines and networks there is a firewall.
All entries in .rhosts... seem to be OK.
Connecting from a local LINUX machine within the 'ES40 network'
to the ES40 works without problems.
Connecting from a local LINUX machine within the 'ES40 network'
to the DS20 gives the following output:
me_at_LinuxA:[~]% rsh DS20 df
poll: protocol failure in circuit setup.
Connecting from a local LINUX machine within the 'ES40 network'
to another local LINUX machine works with the following output:
me_at_LinuxA:[~]% rsh LinuxB df
stty: standard input: Invalid argument
Filesystem
/dev/hda...
I don't know what to do about the errors.
What is meant by sockets poll...
Thanks
Harald
