Am trying to create a clone disk from an existing system. There is no
LSM and TruCluster involved(Not at this point at least). Using vdump
and vrestore I copy all the data from dsk0 to dsk1. Now when I try to
boot off dsk1, I cannot mount /, /usr and /var. Could do it in V4.0x.
I would copy all the data from rz9 to rz10 and then I would place rz10
in rz9's slot and boot genvmunix. In this way, I saved a lot of time
when I had to take systems from 3.2G to 4.0B. We went from 2GB to 9GB
system drives, also all our customized kits and scripts were already
there and all I would have to do is change the host specific files and
information and we would be on our way.

I am trying to do the same thing here. Now I am guessing this problem
probably has something to do with the WWID. Can someone please suggest
a workaround? I tried deleting /etc/dec_* to see if I could regenerate
these files by booting genvmunix but no go! Has anyone tried this?
There must be someway of tricking the system so that you could use
this clone disk that you just created as dsk1 as a dsk0 across any
     kind of Alphaserver.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
