Ladies and Gents,
Situation is as follows:
System = Digital Unix 4.0d
I connected an external SCSI-HD to the bus of my DEC Alpha 1000 4/266. ID
and termination are checked and correct.
Did a MAKEDEV rz0.
created a /etc/disktab entry according to the OSF geometry
diskconfig finds the disk correctly, but neither diskconfig nor disklabel
seems to be able to change the fstype for the partition i want to use (i.e.
rrz0c). It remains labeld as unused, even though i have made a
disklabel -sF /dev/rrz0c advfs .
System lets me create a filedomain, but not a fileset in this domain - it
gives the error
<root>_at_bfnth34# mkfset mp_domain mp
mkfset: can't create file set 'mp' in domain 'mp_domain'
mkfset: error = E_BAD_MAGIC (-1167)
Anyone an idea about that?
Thank you - and a happy new year all
YS, CW
