Hi friends:

More details of the problems are (when the mail service is running on
pichincha node):

1.- When the users are trying reading their emails, the mail client goes
to time out, because is not possible to contact the pop server and the
users must wait and retry for some times. Once the mail client contact
the pop server (if the user has 1 or 2 small mails) is authenticated
quickly and can read its emails quickly too. On this situation i can see
on the alpha with the command "ps aux |grep pop" some pop servers that
have been created (the owner is root).

Any help is welcome.

Regards.

Hello Friends:

I have a cluster with 2 ase-services, one of them include the mail
services. I'm using Popper V2.53 Qualcomm POP3 server ,TRU64 unix V 4.0F
and ASE cluster V1.6 . My problem is when I relocated the mail service
from the first cluster node ( tungurahua node) to the second node
(pichincha node), then some users can not read their emails from the
node has the mail service, I found the following messages in the
mail.log file:

Jan 7 20:51 pichincha popper[12321]: Unable to obtain socket and address
of client, err = 22

This message repeat some times. Is this message relationed to my
problem???, why is the reason for this message??
The Pop server works fine in the tungurahua node.

Any help or hint is welcome.

Regards.

John Cajas.
