Embarrassment! That's all I can say.
I shoulda caught this most basic set-up problem.
It all stems from confusing host ids with scsi (logical) numbers.
SCSI 101 says: "Can't have duplicate IDs on the same bus."
I did - having confused myself the requirement to have the same SCSI
numbers
on both cluster members assigned to the same shared disks.
To fix:
I set one server for IDs of 6 and the other for 7 at the SRM/prom level
using commands like:
set pkc0_host_id 6 (/7)
set pkd0_host_id 6 (/7)
etc..
Thanks to:
John Seel, who actually nailed the problem.
