SUMMARY: Patch Install

I received several replies indicating that this was not a normal situation.
I am not quite sure exactly what happened. I stopped the install. I
apparently was not far enough along for it to have caused a problem. I had
run the baseline previously with no problems but decided to run from single
user instead of mult-user. The install then only took approximately 30
minutes.

Thanks for all the help.

Dawn

Subject: Patch Install

Hello Managers;
This may be a simple answer. This is the first time that I am using the
dupatch and installing a patch kit. I am installing patch kit 2 on V5.1. It
contains 56 patches and has been running for almost 3 hours.
It is sitting at this point in the procedure:
Checking patch prerequisites and patch file applicability...
(depending upon the number of patches you select, this may take awhile)
Is this normal? How long does it normally take to install patches on the
system. The machine is a DS10 with 1GB memory and 1 cpu.
Thanks,
Dawn Urey
