Hi,

I'm running automount on a number of machines, I'm also using nfs
connections on others, and in some cases have machines running both. We have
a range of different DEC/Compaq machines from Alphastation 3000 up to DS20E,
with versions of the os from DU4.0E up to Tru5.0A.

automount seems to work well in most situations, but we do have a couple of
machines that share landsat imagery, and I was wondering for those cases, is
it better to run nfsd and up the number of nfsd for tcp and udp and also up
the number of nfsiod's as against running automount.

Also are there a set of benchmarks that can be run to check out internet
connections for nfs/samba/automount.
