Hi all,
Yesterday I upgraded my database storage (RA3000) by replacing two mirrored
9GB drives with two 36GB drives. My steps were:
1. Cluster Service offline
2. Manually mounted the cluster drive
3. Made a backup on one of the members
4. Down'ed both servers
5. Upgraded RA3000 firmware to d11w and upgraded disks
6. Brought one server up
7. Manually created AdvFS domain and fileset on the new drive
8. Restored the data
9. Changed the Cluster service in asecfg to reflect to this new drive
10. Brought up the service (it worked)
11. I started the second member
12. When the asemember service started, my asemgr on the first node gave the
following message:
Director hasn't startd up yet or local network is disconnected . . .
13. I stopped cluster services on both servers
14. Started cluster services on the second node and changed the service
configuration to reflect to the new drive
15. Started the database service (worked fine)
16. Started the cluster services on the first node and got the same message:
Director hasn't startd up yet or local network is disconnected . . .
What did I do wrong or what was left undone?
The OS is Tru64 UNIX 4.0F PK2 & Tru Cluster 1.6
