Question to all,
I have a Alphaserver DS10 with a CDRom writer, loaded with Tru64 UNIX
V4.0F, and am wondering what version of cdrecord will work with this
combination, if any. I have seen version 1.6.1-1 and version 1.8, and
understand 1.8 works only with V5.0 and above. I cannot go to V5.0 yet due
to hardware considerations. The install of the software is where it is
bombing out on me after I issue the make command.
Make: Cannot open ./RULES/./RULES/rules1.top. Stop.
It appears the RPM install for 1.6 would be the way to go, but it states to
use in version V5.*. Any help with the right combination would be
appreciated. Any stories on experience with it also appreciated. If there
is something better out there, please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.
