Thanks to Michael James Bradford for the quick response :)

I can just use edauth to change the duplicate UID as follows:

        /usr/tcb/bin/edauth -g dayv | sed 's/:u_id#1022:/u_id#2033:/g' |
/usr/tcb/bin/edauth -s

where dayv is the name of the user, 1022 is the wrong UID, and 2033
is the new UID

Original Question:

I've found some duplicate UIDs in the password file in Tru64 4.0F w/
C2 enabled. This is causing havoc with users quotas obviously... I
was wondering how am I supposed to change the UIDs? I know i cant
just change the uid in the passwd file because of C2.
