monitoring traffic to tty's

Hello All,

Various O/S Levels - mainly 4.0E and F
Various Patch levels

Please forgive me if this turns out to be really obvious....

I am trying to determine the amount of traffic going to an individual tty.

I can use various commands such as iostat, or the monitor utility to find
the total characters in and out for all terminals - not much use to me.
I can use tcpdump to find the total bytes to and from a device/host, but
cannot narrow this down to a tty.

A search on the web and of the archives turns up not much; various
references to ttywatcher (apparently Sun only), but I cannot find anything
for Tru64.

Does anyone know of a command/utility/magic wand that would help me with
this?

Thanks & Regards

Stuart Hartley
