SUMMARY: How to disable /etc/hosts.lpd

To enable printing from all computers in our subnets I had to add
    the following line to /etc/hosts.lpd:

    *.tsl.uu.se

It was also suggested to add the NIS netgroups or a "+".
But that did not work so well when I tested it
    (running Digital UNIX 4.0E).

Thanks everybody for their kind responses,

                                Roger.

Subj: How to disable /etc/hosts.lpd

                                                          Uppsala, 28-FEB-2001

I want to move our lpd print server from a VMS machine to Digital UNIX.
On the VMS machine all lpq requests from our IP subnet are allowed.
How can I do this on UNIX?
As I understood I have to put host names or NIS netgroups in the
    /etc/hosts.lpd file.

Thank you for your kind help,
                                   Roger.
