cluster alias question on TruCluster v5.1

Hi all,

Here's the problem:

I'm running an Altavista Search Engine Service on a GS160 with V5.1
clustering (2 node). In my caa scripting, I use the cluamgr to set the IP
address alias for this service:

cluamgr -a alias=search.purchasepro.net,join,rpri=10
cluamgr -r start

Problem comes in when I restart my service the IP address becomes available
only on the member running the service. It has worked for about 3 months I
just started having problems 3 days ago. If I run a "cluamgr -a
alias=search,,join" on all nodes in the cluster and then do a "leave" on the
members which are not running the service, everything is fine until the
service restarts. Its like the cluamgr commands are not broadcasting the
alias. If I leave both members "joined" to the alias, when the service
restarts the alias will become owned by the other node. Therefore, the alias
will not be on the same node as the service(Not a good thing).

I'm running an Oracle database service on the other member but, i'm not
failing the Altavista serivce over just restarting it. I must be able to
restart the service since the new search engine indexes need publishing on a
nightly basis(Altavista must be down when publishing the updated indexes).
We did apply a new firmware version (5.9-111) and patch kit 2 last week.
Funny thing is that this worked for 2 days after the patches were applied.

Any help would be appreciated....

-Bob
