Hello,
simple answer, I'm sure....In short ---- how do you create the device for the
CCL device
on the HSG80 in the /dev/disk(rdisk) directory, if it goes there, on TRU64 5.1?
The long form of the question - I haven't really worked on V5.X yet for TRU64,
but I can do this with
V4 systems. I enabled the console lun on the HSG80 and got the CCL devices to
show up, ( I used
scu show edt.....hwmgr -view devices doesn't show all my CCL devices for some
reason). In V4.0, it
is simply MAKEDEV after figuring out the device number to use. How is it done
in V5? I notice
a /dev/cport/scp0 device is created, but I'm not sure that is really it,
although it works through hsxterm.
Also, scp0 would be to just connect to one CCL device...I have 3 others.
a side question: Can anyone recommend a good course for people who know V4
really well, but just want
to get the differences in V5?
thanks,
Allan
