running usermod -D

I'm trying to change the default passwd_expiration_time and
passwd_lifetime of new accounts.

What causes the error when I do this (as root):

# usermod -D -x passwd_expiration_time=90
usage: usermod [-u uid [-o]] [-g group] [-G group[,group...]]
               [-c comment] [-d home [-m]] [-s shell] [-l login]
               [-f inactive] [-e expire] [-t type] [-x extendedOptionString] login
or usermod -D [-g group] [-d base_home] [-s shell]
               [-f inactive] [-e expire] [-x extendedOptionString]
#

This also happens with passwd_lifetime.

Running 4.0D patchlevel 4, Enhanced Security on an AS4100; above command
typed in after su'ing to root, under ksh. Thanks in advance, will
summarize.

The bugs you have to avoid are the ones that give the user not only
the inclination to get on a plane, but also the time.
